Going Home (Bolivia update #3)

To all the MAPS followers,
We have had a phenomenal week, and everyone has worked hard, and impacted so many lives, including their own. We are truly blessed to have had this opportunity with Lanney and Beth Parker, as well as the rest of their family. Tomorrow we will deport at 6:30 am to Viru Viru airport in Santa Cruz, and catch a connecting flight in Miami to Atlanta. We hope to return to KCS around midnight (depending on flight delays). Thank you all once more for your prayers over our team! We love you all, and we could not have done it without God, and all of your constant prayer.
The final update from Santa Cruz with love,
THE Kingwood MAPS Team

p.s. pictures of the trip are on the Facebook fan page, for those of you with an account. There is not a way to post entire albums on this site, as it is not a convenience of this type of site.

Boliva update #2

To the MAPS followers:
Thank you SO much for your constant support. It is Saturday night, and we have just finished a long day full of hard work, and amazing productivity. We have finished the landscaping of the courtyard, as well as all of our other projects. We also had a huge community outreach party, with inflatable games, soccer, face painting, music, and more! After the fun activities, the children had an outreach service, including human videos, praise and worship, clowns, magic tricks, and the message led by Abraham Ortega. Tomorrow we plan to pass out clothes to the church's families after the church service. Thanks to all of your fervent prayers, there have been very few sicknesses this week. We will be sure to update you as soon as we get some more done!
From Santa Cruz with love,
The Kingwood MAPS team

p.s. (from Caleb)- ther reason there are so few trip pictures is due to the photo uploader on my computer not being reliable the past few days, as the internet comes and goes. I will be sure to post them as soon as I can! I'm SO sorry about the delay.

Bolivia update #1

Hey everyone!
Its the end of our first full workday, and we have all worked VERY hard. We started working at the school around 8, pulling weeds, painting walls, playing with kids, pouring concrete, nursing the sick, giving haircuts, and so many more diverse activities. Today was very productive, and we even hosted three chapels (two for the school children, as well as one for the community's youth). Our own Abraham Ortega gave all three of the services wonderfully, and the children/ youth were all extremely responsive to the message of God's love. Tomorrow we will continue painting, as well as start planting grass for a large courtyard. We ask that you continue to pray for us every second that we will be able to build more, do more, and interact with more and more children. Thank all of you for your continuous support, and we will continue to update all of you!

In love,
The Kingwood MAPS Team

MAPS Facebook page

Hey all!
It was brought to our attention that non-Facebook users could NOT access the MAPS page like we originally thought. This site is created for those who do not have Facebook, but would still like to read the progress of the team. For those of you that have Facebook, we will update that site the same as this one, as this site will be more closely targeted to the non-Facebook users. We are now closing the first day in Santa Cruz, and we will have updates, pictures, and more up on this new site, as well as on the original Facebook site, very soon and will update it often. Thank you so much for your understanding, and for your prayers. We love you!
